The ABA is seeking individuals willing to distribute books as well as outlet locations willing to house extra copies of 30 specially-selected titles for individual book distributors to pick up.

World Book Night U.S. is celebrating its inaugural campaign to distribute books in 2012 and expects to have 50,000 volunteer book lovers to give away one million free books across American.

World Book Night, through social media and traditional publicity, promotes the value of reading, of printed books, and of bookstores and libraries to everyone year-round.

April 23 is also United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization's World Book Day and the anniversary of Miguel Cervantes' death. Cervantes' works include the misguided and often somewhat goofy antics of Don Quixote.
April 23 is also the birth and death anniversary of William Shakespeare.
Author Anna Quindlen is this year's World Book Day National Chairperson.  More volunteers are needed for this event. For more information, or to volunteer as a book distributor visit www.us.worldbooknight.org or visit Riverwalk Books in Chelan.
